Natural Face Clinic's Manhattan office, at 347 E 53rd St in the Sutton Place area of Midtown East, is where NYC-area patients meet Dr. Kim in person — not over video — for a hands-on consultation, and where they return for long-term follow-up after surgery.
Dr. Sang W. Kim — Harvard-trained, double board-certified — leads a practice built around one region of the body: the face, head, and neck, treated both cosmetically and functionally, with nothing else pulling attention elsewhere. Facelift and neck lift, rhinoplasty, NeoGraft® hair transplantation, blepharoplasty, laser skin resurfacing, otoplasty, facial implants, neck liposculpting, and nonsurgical injectables all fall under that same exclusive focus.
Natural Face Clinic's Manhattan office, at 347 E 53rd St in the Sutton Place area of Midtown East, is where NYC-area patients meet Dr. Kim in person — not over video — for a hands-on consultation, and where they return for long-term follow-up after surgery. The surgery itself and its recovery take place in Syracuse, at a dedicated guest house built for exactly this purpose. Conveniently located for patients throughout Midtown East and the surrounding East Side, including Turtle Bay, Beekman, and the Upper East Side.
Recovering somewhere other than home means real anonymity during the swelling-and-bruising stage — no navigating it under the notice of neighbors, coworkers, or your usual social circle.
Away from the daily pull of chores, childcare, and obligations, recovery becomes the only thing on the schedule. Patients are often surprised that a dedicated guest house away from home ends up more restful than staying in their own.
Our own AAAHC-accredited surgical facility keeps overhead lower than comparable Manhattan options. The comprehensive package covers the surgeon, facility, and anesthesia fees together with accommodation, post-op care, and nursing care during the stay.
Syracuse is about a 4-hour drive or a 1-hour nonstop flight from NYC. The guest house sits in the village of Fayetteville, 10 minutes from the office, with parks and restaurants within walking distance — and the practice coordinates transportation between the two.
Full nonsurgical scope: injectables and fillers, laser skin resurfacing, hair restoration consultation, nonsurgical rhinoplasty, and all pre- and post-operative follow-up care. Surgical procedures themselves take place only in Syracuse.

Return to Manhattan for long-term follow-up
Travel and lodging coordination for surgery in Syracuse is handled directly by the practice's staff rather than left for the patient to arrange alone.
Most procedures call for a stay of 7–14 days. If you're booking a return flight, travel insurance is worth having in case recovery runs a few days longer than planned.
Having someone with you for the first 24–72 hours after surgery is strongly recommended — a friend or family member is ideal. New York State also requires that anyone who has surgery under anesthesia be accompanied after discharge and stay with someone the first night; if you're traveling alone, we'll arrange a recovery nurse for that night.
The guest house itself is set up for genuine rest — an adjustable Sleep Number mattress, a full-body massage chair, and a private outdoor sitting area — with the full recovery-week walkthrough covered on the Recovery Program page.
As the Manhattan practice grows, room exists for an associate or partner surgeon to join and expand what's offered locally in Sutton Place and Midtown East — noted here as a direction, not a current offering.
Every surgical procedure takes place at the practice's AAAHC-accredited surgical suite in Syracuse, staffed by the team that works with Dr. Kim every day. The Manhattan office is dedicated to in-person consultation and long-term follow-up.
A genuine hands-on assessment with Dr. Kim in person at the Sutton Place office — not a video call — followed by a clear discussion of your options.

Yes — this is a stated differentiator, not a caveat. Follow-up through the first year after surgery happens in person in Manhattan, not by video call and not by requiring a trip back to Syracuse.
Feeling "back to normal" after the first month doesn't mean the deeper tissue has finished settling — an incision scar can take up to a year to fully remodel, and some patients benefit from massage technique or minor in-office treatment during that stretch. That's difficult to assess remotely, which is why in-person visits with Dr. Kim in Manhattan continue through roughly the one-year mark, not just the first few weeks.
"At 63 years old having a facelift and necklift surgery was a huge decision to make. Dr. Kim was very professional and explained everything in detail. I felt very comfortable there."
"I went to four other doctors for consultation and chose Dr. Kim. Dr. Kim focused on my concerns and did not look for other issues to correct. I didn't feel like he was out to make money."
"I broke my nose 11 years ago and haven't been able to breathe well since. I'm 2 months post-op with Dr. Kim and my breathing has changed completely. My nose looks natural, with little to no scarring."
The surgical home of the practice is in Syracuse. Patients across the Finger Lakes and Rochester region are served through the Rochester consultation office.
